The Woods

On a hot scorching day, the 3 boys urging for some shade as the town hit record temperature. Coming over the brow of the hill, sighting the woods that lay below. The sweat drenching the clothes they wore, hearing the squelching in their shoes. Step by step. Walking down the hill eager to get into the woods. Finally! The 3 boys were cooling off at-last. Taking a seat on the fallen tree. A mysterious light capturing their eyes. Hopping up excited to begin their adventure. The light glowing 100m away. Realising that it was a cave that was filled with diamonds and gold. Below their feet lay the diamond like carpet. Surrounding them was the glow of gold. Cheering and yelling! Starting to scratch and dig at the walls and ground, so eager to get as much gold and diamonds possible. They were so focused on getting the gold and weren’t weary of their surroundings.A sudden noice turning them around and making them look up. Their eyes bulging out of their head. Boosting out of the cave with the monstrous old man chasing after them. Their dreamy day has taken a turn for the worst.
